Current Research Topics
1. Molecular and morphological studies on lymphatic vessel
- (1) Functional morphology
The structural organization of vertebrates is studied from the viewpoints of functional anatomy and developmental biology using molecular morphological method.
- (2) Lymphology
The current research on Lymphology is carried out using molecular morphological method under the contents as follows.
- ・Structural organization and development of microcirculatory system featuring lymphatic vessels
- ・Developmental anatomy of lymphatic system
- ・Tumor lymphangiogenesis and mechanism of lymphatic metastasis
- ・Development of lymphangiogenic drug delivery system for treatment of lymph edema
2. Development of functional 3D human tissues/ organs
- Development of various 3D-human tissues/ organs involving blood and lymphatic vascular systems for clinical application and medical investigation
3. Correlative gross- and microanatomy on human lymphatic system
- The human lymphatic system is studied from the viewpoints of the clinical anatomy, embryology and comparative anatomy, using correlative gross and micro- anatomical methods to establish integrated human lymphatic atlas.
4. Studies on the mechanism of chromosomal abnormality in sperm, oocytes and embryos using murine and human gametes.
- Chromosome assay in sperm, oocytes and embryos
An attempt to rescue aged oocytes
Relationship between aging and chromosomal abnormality
