Outline
1. Since Dec. 01, 2012, we renewed the Department of Pharmacology. The new laboratory aims to clarify physiological roles of ion channels and receptors.
2. The research project of our department includes many things. The major key words for them are physiological and pathophysiological responses to various stresses come from internal and external environments. The aim of our research is to reveal the molecular pathway of these responses by exploring genes responsible for them and analyzing the expression profiles of the genes to reveal their specific roles in the progression of the stress-related disease.
Research subjects
- 1. Physiological roles of ion channels and receptors.
- 2. Research on pathophysiological responses to various stresses that cause diseases including cardiovascular diseases and ectopic ossification (calcification).
- 3. Research on drugs for preventive and therapeutic intervention in these diseases.
