Outline

Our research interest includes the pathogenesis and novel treatment of lung cancer, allergic diseases, and diffuse pulmonary diseases. About lung cancer, we have been working on various clinical studies, including multi-center clinical trials in Japan, to explore effective therapies. About allergic disease, we provide non-invasive methods to evaluate of the peripheral airways using the induced sputum, exhaled nitric oxide concentration, and impulse oscillation. In addition, we are also conducting basic studies on the pathogenesis of asthma and other allergic diseases focusing on group 2 innate lymphoid cells. About diffuse pulmonary disease, we are focusing on the association between lung images and function using the medical imaging workstation. Basic studies are also ongoing about the roles of various mediators in the pathogenesis of lung diseases.
