Current Research Topics
Neurological research involves wide variety of scientific fields including stroke, infection, autoimmune disorders, toxic and metabolic disorders, neurodegenerative disorders, tumor and demyelination. Among them, the priority of medical issues in the 21st century is the development of therapeutic intervention for neurodegenerative disorders. Among them, we focus on Parkinson’s disease. Our purposes are to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of the onset and progression of the disease and those involved in the development of Levodopa-induced dyskinesia. In addition, we have performed basic and clinical researches for diabetic and autoimmune neuropathies.
