31-May-1951 Aomori Medical School was closed.
1-Apr-1951 The School of Medicine was opened.
10 basic science departments: Anatomy I, Anatomy II, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology I, Pathology II, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Hygieiology, Forensic Medicine.

1-Apr-2004 National University Corporation Hirosaki University School of Medicine was established in accordance with the National School Establishment Law.
Graduate School of Medicine revised from five majors (Physiology, Pathology, Social Medicine, Internal Medicine and Surgery) to one major (Medicine).
31-May-2005 The Cellular Engineering Section in the Affiliated Institute of Brain Science was abolished.
