Division of Clinical Neuropathology:
Our primary focus is to understand the pathology of the brains of patients with neurodegenerative diseases. We are pleased to offer clinico-pathological conferences. Undergraduate and PhD students will have the opportunity to learn about clinico-pathological correlation, as well as pathological analyses. These will include gross examination, light and electron microscopic observation, immunohistochemistry and morphometry.
Division of Molecular Neuropathology:
In addition, our research is centred on elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying neuronal death and inclusion body formation in neurodegenerative diseases, with a particular focus on Parkinson's disease and related disorders (multiple system atrophy).
PhD course students will have the opportunity to learn about multiple pathological and biochemical analyses.
