Introduction

The purpose of education and research in this course is to promote solutions to health problems in Japan's super-aging society based on big data from the Iwaki Health Promotion Project's. Although research on the relationship between diet and health has a long history, in recent years it has become possible to monitor nutrition and health status at the personal level based on findings from big data analysis. The program will promote analysis and research based on a wide variety of data to clarify the causal relationship between diet and health, focusing on lifestyle habits such as exercise and sleep, as well as dietary habits that should be considered the most important in terms of health promotion and disease prevention. 


Current Research Topics

・Development of amino acid profiles useful for more accurate understanding of individual health status based on analysis of health big data from the Iwaki Health Promotion Project.
